Every month, CBC Arts features a Canadian artist to illustrate a profile picture for their Instagram. I was commissioned to create the profile for the month of October, and was encouraged to "lean into my weirdness" for the Halloween season.

The illustration was required to match the silhouette original CBC logo.

The biggest challenge I faced was organizing the compisition to be dynamic, whilst still keeping the CBC logo's flat, recognizable form. There were multiple occasions where I scrapped my entire lighitng and camera setup, just to start again with fresh perspective.

Overall, I'm quite proud of the result, as well as the knowledge I learned from the project.

The model was created using VR Sculpting and Adobe Medium. I had a lot of fun molding these peculiar shapes, and discovering ways to intertwine them together.

I used Cinema4D and Redshift for this project, despite only having minimal experience in the program. I figured this illustration would be a perfect chance to expand my knowledge, pushing my understanding of materials and rendering to a new level.

In addition to the illustration, CBC commissioned me to create an instagram reel that features my creative process and philosophical musings.

For this video, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and recorded my face whilst doing the voice-over. This project was a fun oppertunity to show my own character & personality alonside my artwork.
