This looping animation is based on my psychosomatic experiences during a silent meditation retreat. Through the process of virtual reality sculpting, I used the VR hand-controllers to sculpt an anatomical nervous network & brain. I collaborated with Henry Wilkinson, who composed the Brain Synth score for the film.

This work explores the philosophical question: What is identity?

By scanning my head using photogrammetry, I ‘pasted’ my identity into the digital environment, and manipulated its fabric to facilitate a complete dissolution. This term derives meditation practices, where all sensations of the body are felt simultaneously, and boundaries between self & other undergo a complete dissolve.

VR Sculpting Process

I imported the 3D scan of my head into Adobe Modeller, and VR sculpted my brain and nervous system inside my skull.
