Mesh Destruction

Concept
Through a process combining VR sculpting, AI-generated 3D models, and iterative feedback loops, I’ve developed a workflow for systematically destroying mesh structures. Starting with a mesh generated from an image via a diffusion model, I re-inject it with hand-sculpted forms—reclaiming artistic control and imposing a sense of tactility over the machine's sterile precision.
The result evokes corrupted data, anatomical decay, and the uneasy intersection of body and machine. The human cadaver becomes the medium: distorted, repeated, fragmented, and reassembled—symbolizing the fading boundary between human creativity and artificial automation.
At its core, this project remains rooted in play. By treating digital mesh like plasticine, I form a personal, physical relationship with a medium often viewed as cold and fixed—reminding myself that even the digital is malleable.

Right: Experiments in Blender using destructive modifiers to push the mesh beyond recognition.
Presentation
This work is meant to be exhibited horizontally—mirroring the orientation of a cadaver. As shown in the concept sketch below, the installation would occupy a low plinth or platform, inviting viewers to approach and confront the fractured electronic human form from above.
